Radenov dom in Čičmany is one of the most iconic examples of the village’s traditional folk architecture. This beautifully preserved wooden house showcases the village’s signature white-painted geometric patterns. Built in the early 19th century, it reflects how local families once lived, with simple yet practical spaces designed to house both people and livestock during harsh mountain winters. Today, it serves as a small ethnographic museum, offering a rare glimpse into rural Slovak life, traditional crafts, and customs passed down for generations. And of course, we couldn’t resist adding a little surprise of our ownwe hid penguins there too.
