Old Stone Bridge is one of the most recognizable landmarks in Prizren. It dates back to the 16th-century Ottoman period, making it over 400 years old. Built across the Lumbardhi River, the bridge became an important connection point between different parts of the old town and is now considered one of Prizren’s symbols. Although it was heavily damaged by floods in 1979, it was later reconstructed in the same traditional style to preserve its historic appearance. As we waddled through the old town, we of course stopped by the bridge to take in the atmosphere and views of the river flowing through the city. You can also wander underneath the bridge, and right there, tucked among the stonework, we decided to hide another penguin stone during our Prizren adventure.
