At Skopje Fortress, we made our way to the main viewpoint where the whole city of Skopje opens up around you in every direction. From up there, you really get a full panoramic view of the rooftops, river, and surrounding hills, so of course, we left another little penguin stone to mark the spot. An interesting fact is that the fortress has been rebuilt multiple times over the centuries due to earthquakes and conflicts, which is why its walls today show a mix of different historical periods, all layered in one place.
