How to get to Brzeźno Beach
Reaching Brzeźno Beach from Gdańsk’s city center is straightforward and convenient, making it an ideal choice for a seaside escape.

- By Tram. The most efficient way to get to Brzeźno Beach is by taking Tram Line 3. Board the tram at Brama Wyżynna or Dworzec Główny stations. Stay on the tram until you reach Brzeźno Dom Zdrojowy stop, which is the closest to the beach. The journey takes approximately 37 minutes and costs around 3 zł.
- By Bus. Alternatively, you can take Bus Line 158. Board the bus at Ku Ujściu and alight at al. Płażyńskiego. This route takes about 21 minutes and also costs 3 zł.

- By Tram. Tram Line 8 connects the city center to Stogi Beach. From Dworzec Główny (Main Train Station), board tram line 8 towards Stogi Plaża. The journey takes approximately 40–50 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. Trams run every 10 minutes during peak hours and every 20 minutes during off-peak times. Or tram Line 9 when you board at Dworzec Główny and get off at the last stop, Stogi Plaża. This tram operates every 10 minutes during peak hours and every 20 minutes during off-peak times.
- By Bus. Line T8, for a quicker route, offers a direct connection. From Rozłogi 02 (near the city center), take the bus towards Stogi Plaża 04. The journey takes approximately 2 minutes, with buses running every 10 minutes.

- By Bus. The most convenient is the ZTM Gdańsk bus service. Bus lines 112, 186, and 212 operate daily routes connecting Gdańsk’s city center to Sobieszewo Island. These buses depart from central locations such as Mostek 02 and Brama Wyżynna and arrive at stops like Lazurowa 02 and Sobieszewo 01. The journey typically takes around 29 to 35 minutes, depending on the line and traffic conditions. For a more leisurely trip, especially during weekends or holidays, the 612 bus line offers a scenic route from Śródmieście SKM to Sobieszewo 01, operating on Thursdays through Sundays.
- By Car. Driving to Sobieszewo Beach is also an option. The island is approximately a 35-minute drive from Gdańsk’s city center, covering a distance of about 19 km. There are free parking areas available near the beach, particularly at the end of Nadwiślańska Street in Górki Wschodnie.
- By Bicycle. Sobieszewo Island is accessible via the Wincenty Pol Bicycle Route, a 24 km trail that circles the island, offering scenic views and a pleasant ride through nature.

Extra Penguin Tip: Hel Beach
Hel Beach isn’t in Gdańsk itself, but it’s worth the journey. We had it on our itinerary, but in the end, we didn’t manage to go there. It is approximately 60 kilometers away, located at the tip of the Hel Peninsula, and takes between 2 hours and 2 hours 40 minutes, depending on your chosen mode of transportation.
What makes Hel special is its unique geography: a narrow sandbar that separates the calm waters of the Bay of Puck from the open Baltic Sea. This means you can experience two very different beach atmospheres steps apart. So, if you get a chance, be sure to visit Hel Beach.
