The Bell Tower rises above the quiet waterfront of Perast as one of the town’s most recognizable landmarks, originally built in the 18th century as part of the Church of St. Nicholas complex. Standing at the top gives you sweeping views over the Bay of Kotor and the small stone houses that line the shore. The tower itself reflects Perast’s long maritime history, when the town was an important naval center under Venetian influence.
While exploring the area, we also hid a penguin stone in its walls, adding another small stop to our growing trail in Montenegro.
