On the beach at the Steigenberger Alaya, we came across a stone tower built by guests from smooth beach pebbles stacked carefully against the backdrop of the Red Sea. It felt like one of those quiet, unplanned landmarks that naturally gather meaning over time, shaped by passing visitors rather than design. We wandered slowly along the shoreline, pausing between the waterline and the soft sand. On our way to dinner, we added a small surprise of our own, hiding a penguin stone within the stack. It became a tiny secret tucked into the tower, a playful signature left behind in a place already full of calm sea air and warm evening light.
