The Church of Our Lady of the Rocks is one of the most famous landmarks in the Bay of Kotor, sitting on a tiny man-made island just off the coast of Perast. According to local legend, the island was created over centuries by sailors who laid rocks here after each successful voyage, eventually building the foundation for the church that stands today. Inside, you’ll find beautiful paintings, silver votive offerings, and a peaceful atmosphere that feels surprisingly calm for such a unique location. We came here to check out the famous artificial island ourselves, and of course, we also hid a penguin stone here, adding it quietly to this special spot in the bay. And it is one of the golden stones.
