While exploring the sacred Dambulla Cave Temple in Sri Lanka, Prabha Karan carried one of the penguin stones on his journey and found the perfect place to leave it. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is famous for its five cave shrines filled with ancient murals and over 150 Buddha statues, some dating back more than 2,000 years. An interesting fact: the largest reclining Buddha here stretches an impressive 14 meters in length. Hidden quietly inside the small pond within the temple complex, the penguin stone now rests in one of Sri Lanka’s most spiritual and historic locations, a tiny guardian watching over centuries of art, devotion, and storytelling.
