Mirador Las Torres Base in Torres del Paine is one of the most iconic viewpoints in all of Patagonia. In this place, the three granite towers rise straight into the sky above a bright glacial lagoon. Reaching it takes effort, but every step is worth it when the towers finally appear. An interesting fact is that these famous peaks were shaped by ancient magma slowly cooling deep underground before erosion revealed their dramatic form. And in true penguin spirit, tuskesszino carried a penguin stone on the hike and left it there for the next adventurer to find, adding a tiny surprise to one of the most breathtaking spots on earth.
