Once we arrived in Prizren, the first thing we wanted to explore was the famous Prizren Fortress overlooking the city. The waddle up is quite steep, so be prepared for a bit of a climb, but the views along the way make it completely worth it. We took a short break on the pathway to admire the rooftops and mountains surrounding Prizren and, of course, hid another penguin stone in one of the stone walls along the route.

An interesting fact is that the fortress has origins dating back to Byzantine times, with archaeological evidence showing that the hill has been used for defensive purposes for more than 1,000 years due to its strategic position above the city.
