Ending up in Prague with a car again, we already knew that finding a hotel with convenient parking would not be as easy as it sounds. We went through several options, comparing locations and parking possibilities, but many still felt either too complicated or too far from where we wanted to be. Also, we didn’t want to go into the same hotel as last time and try something new. Then we found Grand Hotel Prague Towers. What caught our attention was the free parking and spa offered when booking via Booking.com. And also the location, with the subway station right next to the hotel, making it quieter, yet still close to the action. It turned out to be a practical choice that made exploring Prague far more enjoyable.

Grand Hotel Prague Towers originally opened in 1988 as the Corinthia Panorama Hotel, at a time when Prague was still behind the Iron Curtain, and large international-style hotels were designed to accommodate business travellers and official state visits. After the political changes of 1989, the hotel gradually transitioned into a modern property, later joining the Corinthia Hotels group and eventually rebranding as Grand Hotel Prague Towers. The building itself reflects late 20th-century architecture, with its tall structure offering wide views over the city, a feature that remains one of its most distinctive today. A fun fact is that, thanks to its height, some rooms offer panoramic views that stretch far beyond the historic centre, something you do not often find in Prague. Over the years, the hotel has been renovated, so while the exterior still hints at its original era, the interiors and facilities feel updated, comfortable, and aligned with modern expectations.

Now, Grand Hotel Prague Towers is part of the Czech Inn Hotels Group. The hotel offers everything you might need in one place, from several restaurants and bars to wellness, fitness, and even massage services, so it feels very self-contained without being overwhelming. One of the standout features is the swimming pool on the 26th floor, where you can relax while taking in views of the city. For us, having a secure parking garage, even with a car wash, made a big difference, and overall, the hotel felt like a comfortable and easy base with everything taken care of.

Location and Accessibility

📍Address: Kongresová 1655/1, 140 69 Praha 4-Nusle

The hotel is located in the Nusle area, just outside the historic centre, which worked really well for us. Since we ended up in Prague with a car again, we were paying extra attention to how easy the arrival would be. Coming from the highway, the drive felt straightforward, without the stress of navigating narrow streets or heavy old-town traffic. Arriving, pulling into the hotel area, and parking without complications made a good first impression.

At the same time, the location does not feel far from the city at all. The hotel sits right next to the Vyšehrad metro station on Line C, so getting into central Prague takes just a few minutes, usually about 5 minutes by metro. This balance between easy road access and fast public transport made it a very convenient base, especially if you are travelling by car but still want quick access to the main sights.

Accessibility on arrival was something we noticed as well. The entrance to the underground parking garage is clearly marked and easy to find. After a longer drive, having secure on-site parking made a big difference, and moving between the car and the hotel felt simple and well-organized.

If you arrive by public transport, Grand Hotel Prague Towers is steps away from the station, with additional tram and bus links. Reaching the city centre, the main train station, or other parts of Prague is quick and uncomplicated, even without a car.

Parking

When we got there, we noticed a few cars parked outside around the hotel, which made us briefly wonder how busy it might be. However, we quickly found the underground garage entrance, which is clearly marked and easy to locate. That said, the driveway down is a bit narrow, and the parking spaces are also on the tighter side, so it is something to be prepared for, especially with a larger car.

Once inside, though, everything felt secure and well-organized, and we had no issue finding a spot. A nice little bonus we didn’t expect was that the parking included a complimentary car wash, which is a handy perk after a longer drive, though we didn’t try it. Since we booked through Booking.com, parking was included in our rate, which made it even more convenient. Otherwise, parking is available for an additional fee of around 650 CZK per day, so it is worth factoring that into your budget if it is not included in your booking.

  • Shopping Opportunities Nearby. For shopping, you do not have to go far. Just one stop on the metro or even a longer walk away is OC Arkády Pankrác, a modern shopping centre with plenty of brands, cafés, and supermarkets under one roof. It was very convenient to pick up anything we needed without having to head into the busy centre.
  • Cultural Sites. Even though the hotel is not right in the historic centre, getting to Prague’s main sights is quick and easy. With the metro steps away, you can reach places like Old Town Square, Wenceslas Square, or the National Museum in just a few minutes. If you prefer to explore closer to the hotel, the nearby Vyšehrad area is definitely worth a visit, offering peaceful waddles, great views of the city, and a more local atmosphere than the crowded tourist spots.
  • Dining Options. Food-wise, the area around the hotel doesn’t offer much, but you can find a few Czech restaurants. There are plenty of small bistros, coffee places, and beer places in Vyšehrad, but we had a bit of trouble finding a restaurant. We can recommend Arrosto Ristorante or Restaurant Kandelábr.

Check-In Experience

After parking our car in the underground garage, we took the elevator up one floor, which brought us directly to the first floor, where the reception is. The whole reception area is quite large and feels open, so even though there were several guests around, it did not feel crowded or chaotic. There were multiple receptionists available, and the whole process felt smooth from the start.

Check-in itself was quick and pleasant. The staff were professional, gave us all the necessary information, and were happy to answer a few questions we had about the hotel and getting around Prague. Overall, everything was well organized and easy, and there was really nothing negative to point out about the check-in experience.

The hotel reception is open 24 hours a day, so you can check in at any time that works for you. Standard check-in starts at 15:00, and check-out is until 11:30.

As a nice little perk, when we checked in, we received a Prague Pass, which makes visiting many of the city’s main sights much easier. On top of that, the staff welcomed us with a bottle of Montegrande Frizzante Bianco, which you’ll notice is quite popular in the hotel, or they had struck a deal. Overall, the check-in perks made the start of our stay feel extra welcoming.

One minor downside regarding the reception is that when we contacted them in advance of our arrival with a few questions, we never got any response, and we used the email address on their website ([email protected]).

Room and Amenities

Grand Hotel Prague Towers is a large hotel with 539 rooms spread over 26 floors, offering a variety of room types to suit solo travellers, families, and business guests. There are plenty of Superior and Business rooms, executive‑level rooms on higher floors, and 22 suites that offer extra space and elevated comfort, many with panoramic views of the city skyline.

Our Room

We stayed in one of their Superior rooms on the 20th floor (room number 2006), facing east. We have to give credit to the view; it was really nice, even though we weren’t facing the Old Town. Still, we got to enjoy the sunrise right from our window, which made mornings a little extra special. It was also nice to enter the room with the curtains open, so we saw the view immediately.

The room itself was really spacious and fully carpeted, with a big double bed. We appreciated the bathrobes and slippers waiting for us, a nice touch, especially since the hotel has a spa on-site. The bed was comfortable overall, though the mattress was a bit too soft for our taste, so it’s something to keep in mind. Also, the two pillows per person were nice, though they were still quite high, and even when using only one, your head is not in an ideal position. One thing we really liked was the separate blankets, which made sleeping much more comfortable for us, as we usually like to roll up our own blanket like a sushi roll. A downside was the nightstand setup: there was only one properly equipped nightstand with plugs on one side of the bed, while the other side, next to the window, had none.

The room setup made everything feel convenient from the moment we arrived. There’s a small table with a comfortable armchair and a lamp where you can chill, and on it were two complimentary water bottles. A big TV with satellite channels gave us plenty of entertainment options, and if you need to work, there’s a proper desk with enough space to get things done comfortably. On top of that, the room comes with complimentary tea and coffee, as well as a minibar for when you want something a little extra. All the essential information, like the room menu and hotel details, is clearly provided, so you have everything at your fingertips.

Other amenities in the room included a safe for your valuables and a luggage rack to keep your suitcase off the floor. The curtains were excellent, completely blocking out the light even though we faced east and had the sunrise right in our window, so sleeping in wasn’t a problem. There was also a closet with hangers, which was practical for keeping clothes tidy and accessible. Combined with the desk, TV, minibar, and complimentary tea and coffee, these touches made the room feel really well thought out, comfortable, and convenient for both relaxing and staying organized during our stay.

The Bathroom

The bathroom was to the right as you entered the room, behind a standard door, and was spacious and well laid out. Inside, there’s a bathtub, and all the usual essentials are provided, including towels for everyone and complimentary toiletries like shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. The bathroom has a slightly older style, but it was spotless and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

One thing that really stood out was the shower’s water pressure. Considering we were on the 20th floor, it was impressively strong, maybe even a little too strong at times, as the water splashed quite a bit, but both the hot and cold controls worked perfectly so that you could get just the right temperature. Inside the wardrobe, we found a hairdryer ready to use, which is always handy if you forgot to bring your own. Overall, it was clean, practical, and fully equipped.

Culinary Experiences

Breakfast

Breakfast is served daily from 06:30 to 11:00, making it easy to fit in whether you’re an early riser or prefer a slower start. The hotel offers more than one restaurant where breakfast is available, so you don’t feel crowded even during busy mornings

We had breakfast at The Grill, which also operates as a full-service restaurant, but during our stay, we only visited it for breakfast. We went there early in the morning on the first day to really get a sense of it, and it made a great first impression. The restaurant itself is quite spacious and thoughtfully laid out, so even when there are several guests, it doesn’t feel crowded.

At the entrance, a staff member checks your room number and name, which is a nice extra step to make sure everything is ready for you. Once inside, you’re greeted with the pastry section, which is beautifully arranged, and from there you can waddle along the buffet to explore the full selection. The breakfast is buffet-style, and it offers a wide variety of options, whether you prefer something savory or sweet, along with fresh fruits and vegetables. From the first impressions, the setup felt clean, organized, and welcoming, making it a great way to start the day.

There’s also plenty of space to sit, which makes the breakfast feel relaxed rather than crowded. The tables aren’t too close together, so you can enjoy a fairly private meal even when the restaurant is busy. One thing that really impressed us was the cheese table, a whole section dedicated just to different cheeses with pretzels, which was a nice touch. They also had a separate table for gluten-free options, though we noticed that some lactose-free items were missing. Perhaps they could be requested if needed. On top of that, there was a table with a selection of wines, which added a little extra for those who wanted it.

From what we tried, it was mostly very good. We checked the scrambled eggs, which are our usual benchmark for breakfast quality, and they were really nice and fluffy. We also tried the pancakes, which were a little dry, and the small potato pancakes, which weren’t the best either. The vegetables were a bit dry as well. On the other hand, the fresh fruits were perfectly sweet and refreshing, so the fruit section definitely stood out as a strong point.

We spent some time working from Lounge 62, the hotel’s lobby bar, and it turned out to be a really pleasant spot to settle in for a few hours. The space has a relaxed, elegant atmosphere, making it suitable both for a casual coffee break and a quiet drink later in the evening. The staff here, just like at reception, were exceptional; very friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which made the whole experience even better.

An interesting detail about Lounge 62 is that it takes its name from the hotel’s proximity to the nearby Prague Congress Centre, which is often associated with international events and a more business-oriented atmosphere. The bar itself reflects this mix, serving as both a casual meeting spot during the day and a more relaxed social space in the evening. It often hosts small gatherings or informal meetings, giving it a slightly more dynamic feel than a typical hotel lobby bar.

We stayed for a while, got some work done, and ordered a coffee, which was really good, along with a few macarons. Unfortunately, the macarons didn’t quite meet expectations. They should have a crisp outer shell, a soft, chewy center, and a rich, balanced flavor, but these were a bit off in both texture and taste. That said, they also offer a selection of other cakes and desserts, which we didn’t get a chance to try. When it came time to pay, there was a small mix-up: an extra item was added to our bill. Still, after we pointed it out, the staff handled it quickly and professionally, returning the money without any issue, so definitely kudos for the great service.

The bar is open daily from 07:00 to 01:00 and offers a fresh selection of dishes and delicacies, along with great coffee and homemade desserts, making it suitable for both a quick break and a longer stay. The menu also includes pizza, pasta, and desserts, so you can easily grab a bite without leaving the hotel. On top of that, there’s a wide selection of wines and cocktails, giving it a more lively atmosphere later in the day as well.

While we didn’t have the chance to dine at The Grill for lunch or dinner, it is described as a place with seasonal dishes made from fresh ingredients, focusing on Mediterranean cuisine. The restaurant offers a spacious and elegant setting, ideal for a more formal dinner, and promises professional service. It is open every day from 12:00 to 23:00, making it a convenient option for both lunch and evening meals during your stay.

The Lobby

As you enter the hotel, you are greeted by a central staircase. We visited just before Easter, so there were quite a few flower arrangements and Easter decorations, including little bunnies, which made the space feel festive and welcoming. Beyond the staircase, the lobby also features an information desk separate from the main reception, where you can plan trips, get concierge assistance, or ask about local attractions. Not far from there, you’ll find Lounge 62 lobby bar, a cozy bar area. Overall, the lobby is very spacious, with plenty of seating while you wait.

If you walk a little further down the lobby, you’ll also find the guest bathrooms, conveniently located for visitors. Beyond that, the space opens up into a small recreational and work area, which we found quite interesting. There’s a billiard table if you feel like a game, a library with several books, and two computer desks, one of which even has a printer, perfect if you need to catch up on work. To top it off, there’s a comfortable couch where you can sit and relax, making this part of the lobby a surprisingly versatile spot for both work and leisure.

The Gym

The fitness center is on the 25th floor, within the spa and wellness area, and getting there is a bit of an adventure. You first take the elevator to the 24th floor, then switch to another elevator that takes you up to the 25th floor, where the spa is. It can feel a little confusing at first, but simply follow other guests (in robes) heading that way, and you’ll find it without any issues. Once there, you have unlimited access to the gym, which is open daily from 7:00 until midnight, making it very convenient to fit into your schedule. The space itself is quite large, well equipped with both cardio machines and weights, and when we visited around 8:00 in the morning, it was not crowded at all. Overall, it felt like a really solid and comfortable place to work out, especially with those views from higher up in the building.

Spa & Wellness

The Spa Towers wellness area on the 25th and 26th floors is one of the hotel’s standout features. Open daily from 07:00 to 22:00, it offers a full range of facilities including a modern fitness center, Finnish and steam saunas with a cooling pool, and Thai massages. The space feels calm and well-designed, and there are also changing rooms available, which make it easy to use the facilities. The absolute highlight, though, is the swimming pool with panoramic views over Prague. Relaxing in the water while looking out across the city skyline is a really special experience and something you do not come across often.

One small thing we noticed in both the spa and the fitness area was the lack of readily available towels. There is a small reception at the entrance, so you may need to request them there, but we didn’t try asking. Still, for a hotel of this level, we would have expected towels to be readily available in the gym and pool areas without having to ask.

Executive Lounge

The hotel also offers an Executive Lounge, providing a more exclusive, quiet environment for guests who have access. Open daily from 10:00 to 22:00, it features a selection of drinks and light refreshments, making it a nice spot to relax during the day or take a break from exploring the city. One of the highlights is the panoramic view over Prague, which adds to the overall experience and gives it a more premium feel. It’s a great option if you’re looking for a calmer, more private space within the hotel.

Conference & Event Facilities

The hotel also features extensive conference and event facilities, making it a strong choice not only for leisure stays but also for business and special occasions. There are 24 conference rooms in total, with the largest hall accommodating up to 700 people, and overall capacity for events reaching up to 1,000 guests. This makes it suitable for everything from large conferences to smaller celebrations. The spaces are designed to be flexible, supported by a professional team, and equipped with modern conference technology tailored to different needs. A nice added touch is that some of these venues also offer views over Prague, which makes events here feel a bit more special. Combined with quality gastronomy, the hotel positions itself as a well-rounded option for both business and private events.

Value For Money

For our stay at Grand Hotel Prague Towers, from 19 March to 22 March 2026, we paid €379 for two people, which felt very fair for what we got. Considering the spacious Superior room, included parking, daily access to the wellness area, and the hotel’s excellent facilities, the price made sense for a longer stay in Prague. The location offered both easy car access and convenient public transport, and the overall experience felt comfortable and well thought out. For a prolonged weekend stay for two, the cost matched the quality and convenience of what the hotel provided.

★★★☆☆

Overall, our stay at Grand Hotel Prague Towers was very enjoyable and comfortable. The hotel combines spacious rooms, excellent facilities, convenient parking, and great public transport connections, making it a practical and pleasant base for exploring Prague. The wellness area, rooftop pool, lounges, and dining options add a premium feel, while the staff was consistently friendly and professional. While there are a few minor downsides, such as a slightly soft mattress, narrower parking spaces, and towels not immediately available in the gym or spa, they did not significantly affect our experience. For a longer stay in Prague with a car, this hotel is definitely worth considering.
