When we arrived at AmberSky, we were lucky; there was no long line, meaning no waiting. We waddled straight up, grabbed our tickets, and hopped into one of the glass gondolas within minutes. The wheel moved slowly and steadily, giving us a calm and comfortable ascent above the city. There was no rush, no jolts, just time to take in everything around us. The ride lasted approximately 15 minutes and included multiple rotations, providing us with numerous opportunities to take in the panoramic view and snap a few photos.

As the gondola rose, Gdańsk began to unfold in layers. The rooftops of Old Town stretched below, lined with narrow, colorful facades and the spires of gothic churches piercing through. We spotted the iconic Crane along the Motława River, the boats drifting past like scenes from a slow-moving postcard. On clear days, you can even see as far as the Energa Stadium and the wispy outline of the Hel Peninsula. Every turn of the wheel revealed something new, whether it was a hidden courtyard, a distant tower, or the Baltic shimmer beyond the port.

Inside the gondola, it felt calm and quiet. The cabins are enclosed, climate-controlled, and clean, which means you don’t have to worry about wind or weather. You can move around easily to look in every direction without jostling anyone. If you’re looking for a peaceful way to get above the city and take it all in, this ride offers precisely that.
