Mount Srđ rises directly above Dubrovnik and is probably one of the most recognizable viewpoints in the entire area. From the top, you get wide views over Dubrovnik Old Town, the Adriatic coast, Lokrum Island, and the surrounding mountains. The mountain stands about 412 meters high, and, besides the famous viewpoint, it also played an important role during the Croatian War of Independence because of its strategic position above the city. You can reach the top by hiking, driving, or taking the cable car, which has become one of the most popular attractions in Dubrovnik. During their adventure, pingu_pal also brought along one of our penguin stones. Somewhere up on Srđ Mountain, another little penguin stone is now hidden, waiting for somebody random to hopefully discover it one day. Look for a rick with a superb view.
