At Stone Bridge, we arrived at one of Skopje’s most iconic landmarks, crossing the Vardar River. The Stone Bridge dates back to the 15th-century Ottoman period. It has long been considered the main connection between Skopje’s old and new parts, surviving earthquakes and centuries of change. Waddling across the historic stone arches, we took in views of the Old Bazaar on one side and the modern city on the other. Tucked into the stone structure itself, we hid another penguin stone, blending it into one of the city’s most symbolic spots.
