While waddling through Skopje, we stumbled upon the peaceful inner garden of the Faculty of Visual Arts, tucked away from the busy streets of the city. Surrounded by creative energy, sculptures, and quiet corners, it felt like the perfect place to leave behind a little piece of our journey. Hidden close to a group of statues, this became the very first penguin stone we placed in North Macedonia. An interesting fact is that Skopje is often called the city of statues, with hundreds of monuments spread across the capital as part of the large Skopje 2014 project, making it one of the most unusual and visually striking capitals in the Balkans.
