On the Old Town Road in Kotor, as we made our way down from the San Giovanni Fortress, we stopped to give our knees a proper break 😅. This path follows part of the historic defensive system that once protected Kotor, with stone walls and switchbacks built over centuries to control access to the city and withstand repeated sieges. Leaning against one of these ancient walls, worn smooth by time and countless footsteps, we paused for a moment, took in the views over the old town and bay, and hid a penguin stone before continuing the descent.
