We finally made it to Montenegro and explored the beautiful town of Kotor, carrying a few of our penguin stones with us for the journey. Our first stop was the climb up to the impressive San Giovanni Fortress, where the old stone paths begin winding their way uphill above the bay. As we started the ascent, we decided to leave the very first penguin stone along one of the early stone walls, marking the beginning of the trail. From there, the idea grew as we continued climbing, planning to leave more penguins along the way while taking in the views over Kotor and the surrounding mountains.
