The Curtain Wall of Bojnice Castle in Bojnice, Slovakia, is a remnant of medieval fortifications that once protected the castle’s grounds. Built in the 12th century and later remodeled in a romantic style in the 19th century, the wall offers a glimpse into the castle’s long history of defense and grandeur. While exploring, we spotted some charming penguins waddling around the castle grounds, adding a whimsical touch to the historic setting. We even hid a small penguin stone in the stone wall surrounding the castle, leaving a tiny mark of our own adventure amidst centuries of history.
