Unless otherwise stated, Lifeguin or its owners own the intellectual property rights for all material on this website. This includes, but is not limited to, original photography, custom travel itineraries, logos, and written blog posts.

  • Restrictions: You must not republish, sell, rent, or sub-license material from this site. Crediting the blog with a link back is appreciated, but full reproduction of content without written permission is strictly prohibited.

  • Personal Responsibility: You acknowledge that you are following our travel advice, itineraries, or service recommendations voluntarily and at your own risk. 
  • Liability: Under no circumstances shall www.lifeguin.com or its owners be held liable for any loss, injury, or damage (including, without limitation, indirect or consequential loss) arising from your use of this website or reliance on the information provided herein. This includes travel delays, health issues, or dissatisfaction with third-party service providers (hotels, airlines, etc.).

3. Terms of Sale: Digital & Physical Goods

3.1 Digital Products (Itineraries & Guides)
  • Delivery: Digital itineraries are delivered via email or download link immediately upon successful payment.
  • Usage License: Purchase of an itinerary grants you a personal, non-transferable license. You may not resell, redistribute, or share these files with third parties.
  • Refund Policy: Due to the nature of digital content, all sales of travel itineraries are final and non-refundable once the file has been accessed or downloaded.

By purchasing and downloading digital content, you expressly consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal under EU consumer protection laws.

3.2 Handmade Products

Handmade products sold through Lifeguin (such as Penguin Stones, linoprints, etc.) are individually crafted and may feature natural variations in materials, colour, shape, or finish. These variations are a normal characteristic of handmade items and do not constitute defects.

Order Processing:

Because handmade products are made in limited quantities or crafted to order, processing times may vary. Estimated production and shipping times are provided for each product where applicable.

Returns and Refunds:

Returns or exchanges for handmade products are accepted only if the item arrives damaged, defective, or significantly different from the product description. Requests must be submitted within 14 days of delivery by contacting [email protected] and providing photographic evidence where applicable.

Custom or Personalized Items:

Custom-made or personalized handmade products are not eligible for return or refund, except in cases of defects or damage during shipping.

Care and Use:

Proper care instructions, where provided, should be followed to maintain the quality and longevity of handmade items. We are not responsible for damage resulting from improper use or care.

3.3 Print-on-Demand Products

Print-on-demand products are custom-made specifically for each order. Because these items are produced on demand, they cannot be cancelled, returned, or exchanged once production has begun, except in cases of manufacturing defects or damage during shipping.

Order Fulfilment:

Print-on-demand products are fulfilled and shipped by third-party production partners. Estimated production and delivery times are provided at checkout but may vary due to production capacity, shipping carriers, or external factors beyond our control.

Defective or Incorrect Items:

If you receive a print-on-demand product that is defective, damaged, or incorrect, please contact us at [email protected] within 14 days of delivery and include clear photos of the issue. We will work with our fulfilment partner to arrange a replacement or refund where appropriate.

Shipping Responsibility:

We are not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, customs processing, or incorrect address information provided by the customer.

Colour and Design Variations:

Please note that colours, sizing, and placement of designs may vary slightly from how they appear on screen due to differences in monitors, printing methods, and materials. Such minor variations do not constitute defects.

3.4 Services (Travel Consulting, Custom Itineraries & Creative Services)

Lifeguin offers services including, but not limited to, travel consulting, custom itineraries, photography services, and other creative or advisory services (“Services”).

Payment Terms

Payment for Services is due in full in advance unless otherwise agreed in writing. Prices are displayed at the time of booking or quotation. Payments are processed securely through Stripe or PayPal.

Delivery of Services

The delivery method and timeframe for each Service will be communicated at the time of purchase or booking. Services may be delivered in various formats, including but not limited to:

  • Digital documents (such as PDF itineraries) delivered via email
  • Virtual consultations (such as video or phone calls)
  • Digital photography files or other creative deliverables

Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary depending on the scope of the Service and the information provided by the customer.

Refunds and Cancellations

Due to the personalized nature of Services:

  • Fees for Services are non-refundable once work has commenced.
  • For consultations or scheduled calls, cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance may be rescheduled once, subject to availability.
  • No refunds will be issued for missed appointments or late cancellations.

By purchasing a Service, you expressly consent to the immediate performance of the Service and acknowledge that you may lose your right of withdrawal under applicable EU consumer protection laws once the Service has begun.

Client Responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate, complete, and timely information required for the performance of the Services. Delays caused by missing or incomplete information may affect delivery timelines and do not entitle you to a refund.

4. General Pricing and Payment Information

We reserve the right to change prices at any time. Payments are processed securely through Stripe or PayPal. We do not store your credit card information.

5. User Comments and Conduct

If you post comments on our blog, you agree not to post material that is illegal, offensive, or defamatory. We reserve the right to edit or remove any comments that violate these terms.

6. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Slovak Republic, in compliance with applicable European Union legislation. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Slovak Republic.
