Ekklisia Metamorfoseos, in the quiet village of Avdimou in southern Cyprus, is a small Orthodox church dedicated to the Transfiguration of Christ. Modest from the outside, it reflects the traditional rural character of Cypriot village churches, where faith and daily life have long been closely intertwined. The church is especially meaningful to locals during the Feast of the Transfiguration in August, when the village gathers here for services and celebrations, continuing traditions passed down for generations. Close by at an olive tree, lk_lh_15 and loborosh hid a tiny Lifeguin treasure, a penguin stone waiting to be discovered by a curious waddle passing through the area.
