Our Waddle Across Leissigen Panorama Bridge
We decided to waddle the bridge after a morning waddle in Grindelwald because one hike is never enough. 😅 We dropped our gear as this was a relatively easy one, or at least that’s what we thought.
We started off on the yellow trail and continued across a fence, where we stopped to feed the goats, who were very curious about where we were going.
The trail continued through the shadows of trees before we came out on a pasture for cows. Our legs were on fire as the elevation was high on a short distance. Here, we continued up and up before reaching a small house for the shepherd. You have to waddle along the cows, which can feel a little scary as they are bigger than one thing. But they are mostly watching you being curious. After getting through them, you will encounter a bench to chill and take in the view.
We continued toward the bridge, and once you reach it, you can check the basic facts before you waddle it. The views are spectacular, with lush forests, rugged mountains, and the shimmering lake stretching before you. The bridge is part of a hiking trail, so you can also expect to encounter serene, peaceful natural surroundings as you approach. It was moving quite a lot, but we managed to waddle there and then back.
We took the same path to return and could enjoy the view one more time. It is very dramatic, for sure.
