Relaxation and Style by the Sea: My Stay at Erbavoglio Hotel, Rimini
Our Penguin Rating

If you’re dreaming of a stay that blends modern comfort, boutique style, and a fantastic seaside location in Rimini, Erbavoglio Hotel is a perfect choice. Just a short waddle from the beach and close to the vibrant city center, this 4-star hotel makes an immediate impression. What drew us in was not only its elegant design and cozy atmosphere, but also the thoughtful details, like a rooftop jacuzzi, wellness area, and one of the best breakfasts in town. In a city known for sunshine, good food, and lively charm, Erbavoglio Hotel captures the spirit of Rimini beautifully: welcoming, stylish, and unforgettable. We couldn’t resist experiencing it for ourselves, and it lived up to every expectation.
Erbavoglio Hotel sits in a quiet corner of Rimini, just a short waddle from both the sandy beach and the city center. Unlike the city’s grand historic palazzos, this boutique 4-star hotel shines with a fresh, contemporary elegance that feels instantly welcoming. Soft tones and modern design create a calm retreat, while thoughtful touches, like a wellness spa, rooftop jacuzzi, and generous breakfast buffet, make the experience stand out. What it lacks in centuries-old history, it makes up for with style, comfort, and personal service that captures the warmth of Rimini hospitality. We will be honest, when we approached it, we didn’t expect much. But as they say, don’t judge the book by its cover. And that is exactly what this hotel is like. The moment we stepped in, we were drawn into the hotel and wanted to explore it.

Location and Accessibility
📍Address: Viale Tripoli 211, 47921 Rimini RN, Italy
Erbavoglio Hotel is at a prime spot just a few minutes from both Rimini’s sandy beach and the city center, making it easy to explore on foot. We actually arrived by train and decided to waddle from Rimini Centrale Station, which took us about 20 minutes with our bags, a pleasant stroll straight toward the sea. If you’d rather not waddle, you can hop in a taxi from the station, which takes around 5 minutes and usually costs €10–12. If you are arriving by car, the hotel offers private parking on-site, a real perk in a busy seaside city. Coming from Federico Fellini International Airport is equally simple: a taxi or private transfer gets you here in about 15 minutes for around €20–25. Budget travelers can also take bus line 9 from the airport to Rimini Centrale and continue on foot or by local bus. Staying here means you’re perfectly positioned to enjoy both the Adriatic coast and the cultural heart of the city.

Check-In Experience
We arrived after a short train journey from Bologna, which was on a fast train, and the moment we stepped into Erbavoglio Hotel, we were warmly welcomed by the most genuinely friendly staff we’ve ever encountered. The lobby’s modern-chic design immediately put us at ease, sleek yet inviting. Check‑in was beautifully smooth and flawless: in just a few minutes, we were handed our keys, given an engaging overview of hotel amenities, and effortlessly felt at home. The reception team guided us with thoughtful recommendations for local dining and told us about the rooftop wellness area, setting a perfect tone for the stay. The friendliness of the staff stood out to us; it was probably the warmest welcome we’ve ever experienced at a hotel. From the very first moment, they were so accommodating and genuinely kind that we instantly felt at ease.
The reception is open 24 hours a day, so no matter when you arrive, there’s always someone ready to greet you with a smile. Official check-in runs from 14:00 until midnight, and check-out is expected by 12:00, giving you plenty of time for a relaxed morning before departure. Early check-in or late check-out can sometimes be arranged, depending on availability, and for extra convenience, the hotel also offers express and contactless check-out.

Room and Amenities
Erbavoglio Hotel offers 59 modern rooms and suites, each designed with a clean, contemporary style. You can choose from Classic, Superior, Deluxe, and Suite categories, many of which include balconies or terraces. All rooms come with air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, minibars, and elegant bathrooms, while the higher-category rooms offer added space and extra touches for a more indulgent stay.
After picking up our key, we took the elevator almost to the top floor, where our room was waiting. It didn’t disappoint at all; it was spacious, bright, and comfortably furnished. We even had a small balcony with a lovely view. Since it faced the sunny side, it was a bit too warm to enjoy during the day, but in the evening it became the perfect spot to sit, relax, and soak in the atmosphere of Rimini.

The bathroom matched the room in both size and comfort, very spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed. Inside, we found everything we needed for a comfortable stay: fresh towels, complimentary toiletries, and a well-lit mirror. The highlight was the large walk-in shower, which felt modern and refreshing after a day of exploring. Overall, it struck the perfect balance between practicality and a touch of luxury, making the room feel even more inviting.

Culinary Experience
Breakfast
The breakfast is a highlight you’ll look forward to each morning. From about 7:00 AM to midday, the buffet unfolds into a stunning spread of sweet pastries that seem endless. In Italy, sweet pastries are never missing from the breakfast selection. While we appreciate the sweet stuff, we missed having more savory options, we happily discovered a fresh bell pepper—likely intended as decoration—that turned out to be crisp and delicious. The breakfast room behind reception is spacious and light-filled, adding to the overall pleasure of the experience. Generally, the breakfast was extensive and well-prepared; we appreciated the extended hours and a vast variety of tasty options.

Evening Drinks & Bar Experience
In the evenings, the breakfast area transforms into a cozy bar, creating a relaxed space to wind down after a day of exploring Rimini. We decided to sit there one evening just to enjoy the atmosphere, and it turned out to be a lovely experience. The drinks were well-prepared, refreshing, and served quickly, with the same attentive friendliness we had come to appreciate from the staff throughout our stay. It was the perfect spot to relax, sip something nice, and reflect on the day’s adventures.

Facilities and Services
Relax & Wellness Above the Rooftops
One of the highlights is its dedicated relaxation area on the eighth floor, a true sanctuary high above the city. Here you’ll find a small but well-designed spa space with a sauna, whirlpool, and even emotional showers that combine light therapy and aromatherapy for a full-body reset. The real gem, though, is the outdoor jacuzzi and sun terrace with loungers, where you can unwind while enjoying sweeping views of Rimini and the sea beyond. Whether you prefer sipping a cocktail from the rooftop bar, lingering over an herbal tea, or simply soaking in the warm bubbles after a day at the beach, this space feels like an oasis of calm. It’s the perfect way to balance Rimini’s lively seaside energy with moments of pure relaxation.

Stylish Interiors
Beyond the rooms, Erbavoglio Hotel offers several inviting spaces where you can unwind. There’s a small garden corner for moments of quiet, and inside, the reception area and lounges are designed with a modern, chic flair, unique enough to feel special, yet never over the top. It’s the kind of place where you don’t mind waiting for your taxi or sitting down before departure, because the atmosphere is calm, clean, and elegant. Speaking of cleanliness, we immediately noticed that the housekeeping standards here are incredibly high. Everything from the polished floors to the common seating areas felt fresh and perfectly maintained, giving the entire hotel a sense of care and comfort.

Value for Money
We spent two nights at Erbavoglio Hotel in April 2024, paying €170.00 in total—and honestly, it felt like a steal for what we got. The hotel strikes a rare balance between boutique style and fair pricing, giving you a lot more than just a convenient base in Rimini. Our room was large and comfortable, complete with a balcony, and the rooftop wellness area with its jacuzzi and sauna added a touch of luxury you don’t always expect at this price point. Breakfast was plentiful, full of sweet Italian pastries, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. In a city full of hotels ranging from budget stays to beachfront resorts, Erbavoglio stands out as a place where quality and affordability meet perfectly. The price might be a little higher during the summer season.
Verdict
★★★★☆
Erbavoglio Hotel turned out to be one of those rare finds where everything just clicks. It may not be housed in a centuries-old palazzo, but it makes up for that with modern style, thoughtful design, and a genuinely warm atmosphere. As we mentioned several times in the review, the location is spot on, close enough to the beach for a morning stroll yet within easy reach of Rimini’s old town for culture and dining. We loved the spacious room with its balcony, the rooftop wellness area that felt like a little oasis above the city, and the breakfast spread that seemed endless with sweet Italian treats. Most of all, it was the staff who made the difference, attentive, kind, and among the friendliest we’ve ever met. For the price we paid, the experience exceeded our expectations, proving that comfort, hospitality, and value can all go hand in hand. If you’re looking for a boutique-style stay in Rimini that balances seaside leisure with city charm, Erbavoglio Hotel is a fantastic choice.
