The Giardini Comunali “Enzo Tortora” are small green gardens in Piazza Dante, right in central Bergamo, and one detail many visitors miss is why they are called that. The city dedicated the gardens to journalist Enzo Tortora on 17 June 2023, exactly 40 years after his arrest, as a public reminder of civil rights and justice. The spot is especially symbolic because the gardens sit right in front of the courthouse. And thanks to lk_lh_15 and loborosh, this peaceful little park now has a tiny Lifeguin secret too, because one of our penguin stones is officially hidden here, waiting for its next finder to stumble upon it during a sunny Bergamo stroll.
