Zámčisko is a quiet forested hill in the Little Carpathians that hides traces of an ancient fortified settlement. Archaeological finds suggest this spot was once a hillfort, likely during the early medieval period, thanks to its strategic position and natural defenses provided by steep slopes and rocky terrain. Today, Zámčisko feels far removed from any sense of fortification, surrounded by trees and calm trails. However, if you know where to look, you can still spot subtle earthworks and rock formations that hint at its past. An interesting detail is the small cave tucked into the rocks nearby, a place that feels almost secret and easy to miss if you are not paying attention. On their waddle through this area, lk_lh_15and loborosh left a penguin stone inside a tree trunk, turning a forgotten historical corner of the Little Carpathians into a tiny Lifeguin surprise for the next curious hiker who ventures off the main path.
