Just a short waddle from Stary Dom Zdrojowy in the heart of Krynica-Zdrój, you’ll find yourself surrounded by elegant spa architecture, mountain air, and the gentle rhythm of this historic Polish health resort. Built in the late 19th century, Stary Dom Zdrojowy is one of the most recognizable landmarks in town and a symbol of Krynica’s long spa tradition. The building once hosted Europe’s elite who came here seeking the healing powers of the local mineral waters. Krynica’s mineral springs are rich in magnesium and calcium, and some of them have been used for therapeutic treatments for over 200 years. Today, the promenade around the spa house is a lively place filled with cafés, small shops, and visitors enjoying a relaxing stroll against the backdrop of the Beskid Sądecki mountains.
And of course, we could not resist adding a little Lifeguin magic here. Somewhere close to Stary Dom Zdrojowy, tucked into a stone wall, one of our penguin stones is now hidden. Waiting patiently. Blending into the spa town atmosphere. Ready for the next explorer to discover it and continue its waddle.
