As we were coming to the end of our waddle through the Little Carpathians, we reached the Rusniaky Memorial, a quiet and powerful reminder of the past. This memorial stone stands in eternal memory of the fallen fighters and victims of World War II, marking a tragic chapter in local history. Surrounded by forest and silence, it is a place that naturally invites reflection. Nearby, a simple tree caught our attention, and it felt right to leave a penguin stone there as a small, peaceful tribute. In a landscape shaped by both nature and history, Rusniaky is a place where remembrance and respect quietly live on.
