A small cave in the Little Carpathians is one of those quiet natural spots that shows how rich this mountain range is in rock formations. The Little Carpathians are famous for their limestone and dolomite bedrock, which over millions of years has been shaped by water and erosion into caves, cliffs, rock windows, and unusual stone towers. While some caves in the region are large and well known, many smaller caves like this one feel more like hidden forest secrets. The Little Carpathians are among the most karst-rich areas in western Slovakia, with dozens of caves formed by underground streams and rainfall slowly dissolving the limestone. On this stop, lk_lh_15 and loborosh brought along a penguin stone and carefully left it on the small caves, adding a tiny Lifeguin surprise to this rocky corner of the forest for the next curious hiker to discover.
