Kaipromenade in Salzburg is one of the city’s most peaceful riverside walks, stretching along the Salzach with postcard views of the Old Town, the fortress, and the surrounding hills. It’s especially beautiful at sunrise, when the soft light hits the pastel buildings across the water. The promenade follows part of an old medieval towpath once used by merchants who transported goods along the river. Today it’s a favourite spot for locals heading out for a stroll, jog, or quiet moment by the water. And if you’re wandering near the Müllnersteg bridge, keep your eyes open — somewhere in the trees close by, a tiny penguin stone is hiding, waiting for a curious explorer to find it.
