Kastellet, located on the small island of Kastellholmen in Stockholm, Sweden, was originally constructed in the 1660s as part of the defenses of Stockholm. It has undergone several reconstructions and renovations since then. The current structure of Kastellet was built in 1848 after the original fortification was destroyed in an explosion in 1845. Although it was originally built for military purposes, Kastellet has seen limited military action. It mainly served as a symbolic fortification and a training site. As the views here are beautiful, we also decided to hide a penguin stone here. To find the stone, look for a stone 😅 as we have hidden it underneath one. The penguin stone is near the green cross, on the left side.
