Paphos Castle stands at the edge of the harbor. It’s an iconic landmark in Paphos. While the castle itself dates back to the Byzantine and later medieval periods, the real charm is around its outside: the fortified walls, the panoramic views of the Mediterranean, and the harbor atmosphere make it a favorite spot for a waddle. You can wander along the promenade, enjoy the sea breeze, and take in the historic feel of the fortress from the outside. And for a little hidden surprise, underneath one of the many stones outside the castle, we’ve tucked a penguin stone, waiting to be discovered by curious explorers.
