Hongdae, one of Seoul’s liveliest neighborhoods, is full of youthful energy thanks to nearby Hongik University. It’s a place where street art, indie music, trendy cafés, and late-night shopping all blend into one vibrant maze of creativity. Hongdae is famous for its “busking zones,” where talented singers and dancers perform almost every evening, and some K-pop idols even started on these very streets before becoming famous. Between mural-covered alleys and stylish boutiques, we left a chic little penguin stone hiding in the area, keeping an eye on the crowds and soaking up the cool Hongdae vibe.
