Turtle Island in Busan is a peaceful coastal viewpoint known for its rock formations that naturally resemble a turtle emerging from the sea. It’s a lovely spot to waddle around, especially at sunset when the waves glow gold against the cliffs. Despite its calm atmosphere today, this area once played a strategic role during the Japanese colonial period, with remnants of old military structures still visible along the coast. As you explore the paths and stone walls, keep your eyes open. Somewhere along one of those weathered walls, a little penguin stone is hiding, quietly guarding the shoreline and waiting to be found.
