Mt. Kishima is one of the five craters within Mount Aso, the second largest active volcano in Japan after Mount Fuji. magic friends planned to visit the main active crater, Mt. Naka, but just two weeks before their arrival, a helicopter carrying tourists mysteriously crashed into it. The accident had still not been fully investigated, the helicopter had not been removed, and the area was closed to visitors. Instead, they hiked up Mt. Kishima, which turned out to be a spectacular alternative. From its slopes, you can clearly see Mt. Naka continuously puffing smoke, a powerful reminder that this vast caldera is very much alive. An interesting fact is that the Aso caldera is one of the largest in the world, stretching about 25 kilometers north to south and 18 kilometers east to west. And thanks to magic friends, a little penguin stone now rests here too, hidden among the volcanic landscapes, waiting for a curious explorer to discover it.
