Right next to the spa house Choč in Lúčky, you’ll find a remarkable rock formation known as the Lúčanské travertíny, a natural monument formed by mineral deposits from calcium-rich water. Over time, as plant matter got trapped and slowly dissolved, it left behind tiny holes and pockets that give the travertine its unique texture. Once quarried for construction, the area has been protected as a natural heritage site since 1975. During their visit, our friends @avi_and_iva and @evulienka1965 brought along a penguin stone and left it behind, now tucked among the travertine layers, blending into this ancient and quietly magical place.
