Deep inside the legendary Valley of the Kings, the Tomb of Merenptah (KV8) is one of the most impressive royal burial sites you can step into. Built for Merenptah, the son and successor of Ramses II, this tomb is famous for its vast corridors and the sheer size of its sarcophagus, which was so massive that parts of the doorway had to be dismantled to move it inside. Merenptah’s mummy was later discovered in a royal cache, hidden with other pharaohs to protect it from tomb robbers, a reminder that even in ancient times, safeguarding treasures was a serious concern. Standing among the faded wall paintings and sacred texts carved into stone, you can almost feel the weight of history pressing in from every side. And somewhere within this timeless landscape of kings and legends, avi_and_iva & evulienka1965 quietly hid one of our penguin stones, adding a tiny black-and-white traveler to the golden sands of Egypt.
