The cliff at Gjógv, one of the Faroe Islands’ most scenic spots, rises dramatically above the village’s natural sea gorge, offering sweeping views over the North Atlantic and nearby islands. This place is especially beloved for its ever-changing light and the way seabirds, like puffins and fulmars, nest along its rugged edges. An interesting fact is that Gjógv’s gorge was historically used as the village’s natural harbor, protecting small boats from the fierce ocean waves. Today, it is a serene spot for wandering, photography, and simply listening to the sound of the sea. And now, thanks to luciakontsek and loborosh, a penguin stone has found its home here.
