Framneslia is a scenic residential area located in Narvik, a town in northern Norway renowned for its stunning natural landscapes and strategic importance during World War II. It’s between the dramatic mountains and the Ofotfjord. Framneslia offers breathtaking views and easy access to outdoor activities, including hiking, skiing, and watching the Northern Lights. One interesting fact about the area is its proximity to the Narvikfjellet ski resort, where you can ski with panoramic views of the fjord below, a rare experience even in Norway. Framneslia is also near the historic Ofotbanen railway, one of the northernmost railways in the world, which played a crucial role in transporting iron ore from Kiruna, Sweden, to the ice-free port of Narvik. It’s a peaceful coastal atmosphere with charming fishing cabins lining the shore. The area is quiet and relaxing, perfect for those who enjoy the calming presence of the sea. It’s a place where you can unwind, listen to the gentle waves, and enjoy the simple beauty of Norway’s northern coast. Thanks to our dear friends magicandfriends who took some penguin stones on their Norwegian adventure, one is hidden here underneath an iconic red house.
