In Tórshavn, the proud Ram Statue stands as a tribute to the deep connection between the Faroese people and their sheep, which have shaped the islands’ culture and livelihood for centuries. The bronze ram, perched in the heart of the city, symbolizes strength, resilience, and tradition, reminding visitors of the bond between land, animals, and community. On our visit, we decided the ram shouldn’t stand alone, so we left a penguin stone hidden nearby—waiting quietly as a little companion for this strong guardian of the Faroes.
