The Männliturm in Lucerne, Switzerland, is a historic tower perched atop the iconic Musegg Wall. Built in the 15th century as part of the city’s medieval fortifications, the tower stands out with a small figure of a man, from which it gets its name (“Männli,” meaning “little man”). You can climb to the top of Männliturm for stunning panoramic views of Lucerne, including the shimmering Lake Lucerne and the surrounding Swiss Alps. As one of the few accessible towers along the Musegg Wall, it offers a unique glimpse into Lucerne’s past while providing an incredible vantage point for modern-day sightseeing. The waddle up to the tower takes you through a few steps but rewards you with beautiful views. At the last step you have to take, we hide the penguin stone.
