The Royal Palace of Stockholm in Gamla Stan, the city’s old town, serves as the official residence of the Swedish monarch. With over 600 rooms, it’s one of Europe’s largest palaces, housing royal apartments, museums, and the Treasury, where the Swedish crown jewels are. An interesting fact about the palace is that it was built on the older Tre Kronor Castle site, which was destroyed by a devastating fire in 1697, leading to the construction of the grand palace that stands today. Now, if you waddle around the palace from the outside, you will see two fountains at Skeppsbron Street. Now, in between the rocks, you can find a penguin stone hidden in one of them.
