We loved Štrbské Pleso so much that one penguin stone was not enough. This stunning mountain lake in the High Tatras in Slovakia attracts visitors with its breathtaking views and serene atmosphere. The area is known for its scenic landscape, especially the iconic wooden viewpoint that offers panoramic views of the surrounding peaks and the lake’s crystal-clear waters. An interesting fact about Strbské Pleso is that it sits at an elevation of 1,351 meters (4,429 feet), making it one of the highest settlements in the country. This elevation creates a unique alpine environment where hikers can explore diverse flora and fauna, including the rare Tatra chamois. The combination of natural beauty and high-altitude adventure makes Strbské Pleso a must-visit destination for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. We left a penguin stone hidden in one of the many stones here.
