With over 10 million visitors a year, Vondelpark is the most popular and most-visited green space in Amsterdam and in the entire country. The city’s main green lung is 470,000 square meters and houses endless types of plants and small animals that enjoy entertaining numerous visitors. In 1996, the park was declared a “state monument” (Rijksmonument in Dutch), demonstrating the space’s significant cultural and historical value. We stayed close by while visiting Amsterdam; this park was always en route to the city center. We decided to find the penguin stone a perfect spot in one of the many trees. We hope you enjoy your waddle in the park.
