The Danubiana Art Museum is just outside Bratislava, Slovakia, and is one of the youngest contemporary art museums in Europe. It stands dramatically on a peninsula jutting into the Danube River. Surrounded by water and nature, the museum blends striking modern architecture with a serene landscape, offering you a unique artistic and sensory experience. It showcases both Slovak and international contemporary art, with rotating exhibitions and a stunning sculpture park. An interesting fact is that the museum was co-founded by Dutch art collector Gerard Meulensteen, whose passion for modern art helped shape the museum’s rich collection and international reputation. We went for a visit and could not resist leaving a penguin stone behind close by at the parking spot. We recommend first to enjoy the art before embarking on the search for the penguin stone. In the second parking lot, look for the three trees, and in the middle one is the hidden penguin stone.
