Vintgar Gorge, or Bled Gorge, is a 1.6-kilometer gorge in northwestern Slovenia in the municipalities of Gorje and Bled, four kilometers northwest of Bled. It is on the edge of Triglav National Park. Carved by the Radovna River, it continues the Radovna Valley. The cliffs go up to 100 meters high, and we enjoyed looking at the turquoise waters, lush greenery, and the impressive 13-meter Šum Waterfall. The waddle is relatively easy and takes about 1 to 2 hours to complete, depending on how often you stop to take in the views and snap photos. For us, it took much longer – we took many photos. Almost at the end of the main part, we found a lovely tree from which the small penguin stone had a nice view. It is behind one of the branches, and we also put some greenery on the penguin so it’s not immediately visible.
