The Krimulda Castle is in Sigulda, Latvia, and comes with a rich history. It was originally built by the Livonian Brothers of the Sword in the 13th century and served as a fortress and residence for the Livonian Order. Throughout its history, the castle changed hands multiple times, including ownership by the Swedish crown and later the Russian Empire. We came for a one-day trip to Sigulda to explore and were very surprised. You waddle all around and always find an exciting place, so we had to hide a penguin stone here.
