We stayed at House Boninovo in Dubrovnik, a characterful old stone property sitting above the Boninovo area, where the mix of traditional masonry and hillside setting gives it that classic coastal city feel. While we were there, we left a small penguin stone tucked into the surrounding stone walls, blending into the structure like a hidden signature for future explorers to find. Keep an eye out when you visit, because there is also a very cute little guardian on site, and he might bark to announce your arrival before you even spot the penguin stone.
