High above Dubrovnik on Mount Srđ, the Fortress Imperial offers some of the most breathtaking views over the Old Town and the Adriatic Sea. Built in the early 19th century during the Napoleonic era, the fortress later played a key role in the Croatian War of Independence, when it was heavily damaged and then restored. It also houses a museum dedicated to that period, adding another layer of history to the already dramatic setting. At the top, after taking in the sweeping views, we hid a penguin stone, leaving a small surprise overlooking Dubrovnik.
