The Bazylika Bożego Miłosierdzia is one of the most important modern pilgrimage sites in Poland, dedicated to the Divine Mercy devotion that spread from the revelations of Saint Faustina Kowalska. Built in a striking contemporary style compared to Kraków’s older churches, it draws visitors from all over the world, especially for its peaceful atmosphere and panoramic views over the city. As you waddle around the grounds, you’ll also come across a statue of the late John Paul II, who played a major role in promoting the Divine Mercy message during his lifetime. And if you look a little closer nearby, you might even spot a hidden penguin stone quietly tucked away, left as a small surprise for future explorers.
