Above Bojnice, as you follow the forest trails and crossroad stops, you’ll come across the Calvary with the Chapel of the Virgin Mary, a peaceful spot perfect for a short break. The chapel was built in 1815 by estate manager Andreas Csicsmanyi and consecrated in 1816, later damaged by fire in 1995 and gradually restored since 2005. We paused here to take in the calm surroundings and, of course, hid a tiny penguin stone in a nearby tree before continuing our wander.
