You can find the Centenarian Olive Tree near Kofinou, and is a quiet witness to centuries of Cypriot history, its gnarled trunk shaped by time, sun, and countless harvests. Olive trees like this one can live for hundreds, sometimes even thousands, of years, continuously regenerating from the same roots and symbolising resilience and continuity. Standing beside it, it feels less like a tree and more like a living archive, still producing olives long after generations have come and gone.

lk_lh_15 and loborosh hid a penguin stone here, convinced it will stay just as long as the olive tree itself. They searched for a safe shelter for the penguin stone deep inside the olive tree. On the first attempt, while exploring a hole in the trunk, they grabbed something wet 😳 and when I pulled it out, it turned out to be a slimy snail 😱😱😱 ewww 🤢. On the second try, they only inspected the opening with my eyes and placed the penguin stone inside. The hole was much deeper than expected, and the penguin stone slipped all the way to the bottom. It is not visible at all 🥴 not even with a torch 🫣🫣. So now it has truly become one with the olive tree 🤭🤭
